I decided not to post today. The only words filling my head are about how pissed I am at work today. Nobody wants to hear that.

That said, yesterday was okay. We had dinner at my mom's place, then went up to the park to watch fireworks. Very tame. I went home and passed out on the couch around midnight and woke in my bed at 6 remembering I had to go to work. :(

(No, I wasn't drinking - I actually pass out because I'm just tired - sad, eh?)

Anyway, am I the only one who thinks this fourth totally sucked ass being on a Wenesday? Whoo-hoo for next year's! It's on a Friday, and I think we're going to do it at my house. You can see the fireworks from my house - my mom's town's were very low-key.

Anyway, hope everyone has a fabulous day and I'll try to get something fun up tomorrow. Far as I can tell, I have a week of hell left - then things *should* be better around here.

I must admit to getting a little cranky when people refer to it as "the Fourth of July." I feel like that ignores its significance. I must also admit to being enough of a dork to have read the Declaration of Independence over breakfast yesterday.

Becki (why do I always have the urge to Geek-a-tize your name? Like "becks" or "Beckster"? like when people call me "Amers"-hahah) - ANYWAY - I said the Pledge of Allegiance. :) hehehe. I'm a goony-type patriotic person. If I still fit in my old clothes, I'd have enough flag and RW&B stuff to last me at least a week. This year was stinky, though. The Pledge was all I could muster.

A belated happy 4th to you as well. And just think, in two years it'll be on a Friday and we'll have a 3-day weekend! How cool is that?
