Why don't "empty" calories weigh less?

What about lables that say Fat Free on products that never had fat to begin with like...Sparkling Apple Cider or tea?

I thought the rule on Empty calories were they weigh nothing on your Birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and well Happy Days he.he.he

I always sorta thought...if a calorie is "empty"...really what is the point?? lmaooooo.
